Behavioral Objectives

By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to:

  1. Identify lower body parts: waist, hips, legs, knees, feet, and toes.
  2. Demonstrate waist bending, hip circles, and leg movements.
  3. Perform balance skills (standing on one leg, walking along a narrow line).
  4. Execute controlled foot and toe movements.

Presentation Steps

  1. Introduction: Review upper body movements, then ask: "What parts of our body carry us when we walk or run?"
  2. Identifying Lower Body Parts: Point to and name the waist, hips, thighs, knees, legs, feet, and toes.
  3. Lower Body Movements & Balance:
    • Waist & Hips: Bending forward/sideways, rotating hips in circles.
    • Legs & Knees: Lifting high knees, kicking gently forward, stepping wide.
    • Feet & Toes: Tiptoeing, stamping feet, wiggling toes, standing on one foot.
  4. Class Activity: "Follow the Leader" line exercise—pupils follow the teacher walking on tiptoes, balancing on a straight chalk line, and hopping on one foot.
