Behavioral Objectives

- Demonstrate correct posture and actions for managing a nosebleed.
- State the steps for treating insect bites or stings.
- Explain how to treat minor burns with cool running water.
Presentation Steps
- Nosebleeds: Demonstrate sitting upright, leaning slightly forward, pinching the soft part of the nose, and breathing through the mouth. (Explain why leaning back is incorrect).
- Insect Bites: Teach pupils not to scratch, wash with soap/water, and inform an adult for soothing cream.
- Minor Burns: Emphasize running cool water over minor burns and never placing direct ice on burned skin.
- Interactive Scenario Game: Read scenarios ("What would you do if...") and let pupils act out responses.

3RD TERM - WEEK 4: TREATING NOSEBLEEDS, INSECT BITES, AND BURNS
1. Treating Nosebleeds:
- Sit upright and lean forward slightly (do NOT lie down).
- Pinch the soft part of the nose gently.
- Breathe through your mouth and alert an adult.
2. Treating Insect Bites/Stings: Do NOT scratch! Wash with soap and clean water, then tell an adult.
3. Treating Minor Burns: Run cool water over the burn immediately. Do NOT put ice directly on the burn. Call an adult!
